Sleep is critically important for brain health. Your brain is the most complex system in the known universe, that makes everything about you. It is at night when you're sleeping that your brain puts everything together. It is when it takes an important memory and enhances it and it takes the noise and prunes it away. Sleep also serves as a way to clear out various toxins and waste that build up in the brain during the day and if you're not sleeping well because you have sleep apnea you're more likely to suffer anxiety and depression.  More likely to be impulsive and more likely to suffer significant brain problems including Alzheimer's disease.

We've had numerous individuals who are fairly concerned that they had mild cognitive impairment and were on their way to developing Alzheimer's disease and they just needed to have their sleep apnea treated. And once their sleep apnea was treated with either CPAP or a dental device they felt much more refreshed during the day, their memory was better, as was their judgment.
